Group Class FAQs
-
Can my family members come?
Yes! We love it when the whole family gets involved in the training process and we also welcome young children to attend classes at Fetch the Leash under supervision of an adult. Ask us for our guidelines on children attending classes if you have additional questions!
-
What vaccines are required?
For puppy preschool, puppy camp, and puppy socials, we require proof of the puppy’s first distemper and parvovirus vaccination at least 7 days prior to attending any in-person Fetch the Leash activities.
For all other programs we also require proof of rabies vaccination.
-
Do you ever cancel class due to weather?
Yes, we will let you know by email the afternoon before an evening class, or the evening before a morning class, if classes may be canceled due to hazardous road conditions.
In the event a class is cancelled, we will push back the graduation date of your class by a week.
-
How big are your classes?
We run small classes! Most classes have a maximum of 4-6 students per instructor.
-
Is missing a single class a big deal?
Sometimes due to travel plans or family events, a student finds themselves unable to attend all classes. Missing a single class is generally not a big deal, and most people can get quickly caught up with some additional assistance during class the following week. Written homework exercises are also provided for most classes.
-
Can I schedule a make-up class?
Yes! You can schedule a 30-min online private lesson with your instructor to go over materials missed (or 60min if you will miss two classes). There is an additional fee to cover the time with the instructor outside of class.
